ENSAE: 60 new graduates in the service of statistics and development

The graduation ceremony of the 2026 class of the National School of Statistics and Economic Analysis Pierre NDIAYE (ENSAE) was held on Thursday, 20 August 2026 at UCAD II, under the chairmanship of Mr Allé Nar DIOP, Minister for the Economy, Planning and Cooperation, representing Mr Cheikh DIBA, Minister of the Economy, Finance and Planning.

The class of 60 graduates comprises 33 Statistician-Economist Engineers (ISE) and 27 Statistician Analysts (AS). It bears the name of Mr Mamadou Falou MBENGUE, an executive at the BCEAO and former Deputy Director General of the National Agency for Statistics and Demography (ANSD).

In his address, Minister Allé Nar DIOP underlined the decisive role of reliable statistical information in the design, monitoring and evaluation of public policies, particularly for the implementation of the National Transformation Agenda "Senegal 2050".

Recalling that "one only governs well what one measures well", he stressed the importance of data quality for the credibility of macroeconomic frameworks and the strengthening of partner confidence. He also urged the new graduates to make rigour, integrity and intellectual honesty the guiding principles of their profession.

Through the training of high-level specialists in statistics and economic analysis, ENSAE contributes to building the skills essential to informed and effective public-policy management.
